Advantech’s 1U rackmount platforms are designed to meet two main OEM requirements. The entry level 1U appliances provide a rackable version of the tabletop platforms and offer a wider range of I/O expansion options. The compact high-performance appliances are positioned to meet mid to high end market needs, offering higher and extensible port counts, redundant power options and higher capacity storage.

Advantech’s 2U rackmount platforms are positioned for applications requiring the ultimate in multi-core, multi-processor performance with highly scalable port counts, I/O expandability, redundant power and remote management.

The platforms deploy the latest Ethernet controllers from Intel with built-in Intel® Virtualization Technology VT-x & VT-d and Intel® I/OAT. Smart configurability allows the internal motherboard and I/O modules to be independently upgraded allowing OEMs to cost effectively adapt platforms to meet a wider range of customer performance and connectivity needs. The systems are space-optimized for multiple disk drives and add-on cards. IPMI 2.0 is fully integrated for remote management, maintenance, and diagnostics.
