    The Taipei Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) system in Taiwan transports almost 1 million people every day, and more and more security issues are becoming known. The Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation (TRTC) has installed a CCTV system for each station, but the MRT cars are still a blind spot for safety issues. To improve service and increase public safety, the company used Advantech's DVS-350 integrated video and computing platform for in-car monitoring, surveillance and integration functions.

    EVA Airways Corporation (EVA Air) is an international airline which also runs a city to airport transit bus service. Far EasTone Telecommunications Company Limited (FET) is one of the major mobile carriers/ service providers in Taiwan. Both businesses are facing increasing competition, so they decided to provide 3G (WCDMA) based signage services on city transit buses to secure new income streams for both companies while increasing EVA Air’s operational efficiency with a bus fleet management platform.

Powerview 6000 surveillance software provides users complete functions, such as playback, remote control, and alarm notification. The integration between Powerview 6000 and Access control system would increase the extensive application of genuine surveillance application.

    The case presented here is a comprehensive solution designed for a luxury mansion located in the Xinyi District in the capital of Taiwan. A total of 104 households participated in this case. Advantech created an "intelligent living space" for residents and carried out a real eHome life from a dream. This case demonstrates Advantech's capability on providing e-Home solution and service as well. Through systematic infrastructural linkage and integration of control systems, we may create a rich variety of solutions to manage living spaces intelligently.
